Mary L. Avellar

New Bedford – Mary L. (Freitas) Avellar passed away July 7, 2006 at St. Lukes Hospital after a long illness. She was the wife of Vernon R. Avellar of So. Dartmouth , Mass who passed away February 21, 1994.
Survivors include 2 Sisters Gida Moniz and Adeline Alfonse both of Dartmouth a deceased Sister Mary Carmen Costa and Several Nieces and Nephews.

Mrs Avellar was a daughter of Frank P. and Eugenia (Cabral) Freitas . She was born in Falmouth and lived in this area most of Her life. She was formerly employed as a Stitcher at Various Mills,

Her funeral will be at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St., New Bedford, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, So.Dartmouth. Burial will take place at St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours Tuesday July 11, 2006 from 4 to 7 PM.
