Daytona, FL.-Manuel Cordeiro Jr. age 99 years. Died Monday July 24, 2006 at Halifax Hospital Daytona,FL. He was the husband of the late Clementine “Peggy” (De Mello) Cordeiro.They were married for 60 years. He was the father of Paul Cordeiro and his wife Ginger of Ormond Beach,FL. He was the loving grandfather of Glen Cordeiro, Cindy Morris, Wendy Halfhill, Robyn Holcomb, and Paul Cordeiro Jr. He was also survived by 8 Great-grandchildren, and 8 Great-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Cordeiro was the son of Manuel and Isabele (Cabral) Cordeiro. He was born in St. Michael, Azores. He worked as an expeditor at Good Year Tire and Rubber Factory for 22 years. He was a Private First Class in the U.S. Army during World War II.

In accordance with his wishes he was cremated.
