New Bedford MA-Carlos Freitas died after a long illness Saturday September 30, 2006 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the father of Michael A. and his wife Susan Freitas of New Bedford, John P. and his wife Jane Freitas of Woonsocket, RI. He was the former husband of Alda Freitas.
Mr. Freitas was born in St. Michael, Azores, Portugal. He was the son of Angelina (Matos) Da Costa of Canada, and the late Joao Freitas. He lived in this area for 35 years. He was formerly as a Crew Chief at American Sea Food,
Funeral will be Wednesday October 4, 2006 at 8 A.M. at Perry Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 9 A.M.. Visiting hours are Tuesday October 3, 2006 from 5-8 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Rural Cemetery.
