Barbara (Brightman) Callan

New Bedford –Barbara (Brightman) Callan, age 76, died at New Bedford Health Care Center on Thursday, November 16, 2006. She was the wife of the late William F. Callan Sr. She was the mother of William F. Callan Jr. and his wife Sandi, Linda Sweeney and her husband James, Deborah Perry and her husband William all from this area. She was the mother of the late Earl Pike. Three grandchildren and one great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survived her.

Mrs. Callan was the daughter of the late Gilbert Brightman and Esther (Taber) Brightman-Pierce. She was born in New Bedford, and lived in this area all of her life.

In accordance with her wishes she was cremated.

At the families request services and burial of ashes will be private.
