George Oliver

New Bedford-George Oliver aged 83 years died Saturday July 14th, at St. Luke’s Hospital unexpectedly. He was the widow of Josephine H. (Viera) Oliver who pasted away November 7, 2001, they where from Plain St. North Dartmouth. He was the brother of John Oliver of Acushnet, Charles Oliver of Florida, and Frank Oliver Sr. of Dartmouth, and the late Lawrence and Manuel Oliver Jr., Elizabeth Barrows, and Frances Sousa. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Oliver was the son of the late John and Mary (Enos) Oliver. He was born in New Bedford and lived in this area all his life. He was a truck driver for American Gas Propane Service. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 1.

In accordance with his wishes he was cremated.
