Edna (Figueiredo) Mattos

New Bedford-Edna (Figueiredo) Mattos age 76, died Friday February 1 , 2008 at St. Luke's Hospital, after a long illness. He was the beloved wife of Charles Mattos of New Bedford. She was the mother of David Mattos of New Bedford, Charlene Haslam of Fall River, and Charles Mattos of Fairhaven. She was the grand mother of Jason Haslam, Kerri Fish, Joshua, Amique, Shane and Erynn Mattos, 4 great grand children 2 godchildren and several nieces and nephews

Mrs. Mattos was the daughter of the late Edward J. and Alexandrina (Correia) Figueiredo. She was born in New Bedford and lived in this area all of her life. She was a member of the Ladies Guild of Sacred Heart.

Mrs. Mattos’s Funeral will be Tuesday at 8A.M. at Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. followed by A Mass of Christian Burial at 9 A.M. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Burial at St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Monday from 5-8 P.M.
