New Bedford – Antonio Garcia daRosa, age 85, died Monday August 24, 2009 at St Lukes Hospital. He was the husband of the late Maria Ludovina (Rocha) daRosa. Survivors include 2 sons: Jose Antonio daRosa , and Arlindo daRosa both of New Bedford 3 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. daRosa was a son of the late Manuel Garcia daRosa . He was born in Pico, Azores, Portugal and lived in this area since 1971. Mr. daRosa worked for Columbia Cable and Carol Cable as a Machine Operator until his retirement.
Mr. daRosa’s Funeral will be from the Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. on Saturday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 9:00 A.M. Interment will follow at St. Johns Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Saturday prior to the mass from 7:30 – 8:30 A.M. Relatives and friends are invited.
