Seraphin Mello

Dartmouth - Seraphin Mello, age 80 years, died Sunday, February 14, 2010, unexpectedly at home. He was the beloved father of Diane Grajales of Middleboro, Carol Lima of New Bedford, April Bell of Wisconson and Susan Mello of Boothbay, Maine. Seraphin is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and his beloved feline companion. Mr. Mello was the grandfather of the late Walter Grajales.

Mr. Mello was the son of Domingos and Jessie (Morris) Mello. He was born in New Bedford and lived in this area all his life. He was a foreman at Brittany Dye until his retirement.

Mr. Mello’s funeral will be Thursday at the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 8:45 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Julie Billiart Church, in Dartmouth, Thursday at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visiting Hours will be Wednesday from 5 - 8 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Animal Rescue League of New Bedford, 31 Ventura Drive, Dartmouth, Ma. 02747.
