Kenneth S. "Kp" Pires

New Bedford-Kenneth S.”KP” Pires age 61 years died Wednesday June 2nd at St. Luke’s Hospital after a brief illness. He was son of the late Manuel “Manny Dollar” Pires and Beatrice (Oliveira) Pires. Kenneth was the brother of Patricia “Patsey” Bryant of CA., Cynthia Grenon of Westport, Dr. Peggy Pires-Pimentel of MD., Christine Arnum of FL. and the late Palmira Rose, Judith Hamrick and Louis “Lou Lou” Pires. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Pires was the Food Service Manager at U Mass Dartmouth until his retirement.

Mr. Pires’ funeral service will be Monday evening at the Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. during visiting hours. Services will start at 7 P.M. with Pastor John Centeio Officiating. Interment will be private. Visiting hours are Monday from 5-8 P.M.
