Hortense Page

New Bedford - Hortense (Amaral) Page of New Bedford died November 12, 2003 at the New Bedford Jewish Convalescent Home. She was the widow of Carl C. Page and the Late George Ferreira. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Rose Everett, Mary De Mello, Joseph D’Amaral, John Amaral, Antone Amaral, and Gilbert “Yak” Amaral.

Mrs. Page was born in New Bedford, MA. She was a retired stitcher for New Bedford Manufacturing for 41 years, until her retirement. She was a member of the Garment Workers Union. She enjoyed going to Sunrise Bakery on Dartmouth St. to be with her friends.

The funeral will be Saturday, November 15, 2003 from Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 8:00 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 A.M. at St. Mary’s Church, Dartmouth St. South Dartmouth, MA. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, New Bedford, Ma. Calling hours are Friday November 14th from 2:00 - 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
