Ana C. Fortis

Providence, R.I. - Ana C. (Rivera) Fortis , 45 of New Bedford, died Thursday, November 13th at Women and Infants Hospital of R.I.. She was the wife of Carlos L. Fortis. She is survived by her 3 daughters Yajaira C. Curado , Rose I. Fortis, Waleska Fortis, a son Ronald Fortis all of New Bedford, 5 grandchildren Kevin, Yanielis, Jafet, Nathan and Leeleska, her sister Susan Rivera of New Bedford, 5 brothers Carlos Rivera of Philadelphia, PA, Jose Rivera of Springfield, MA., Ignacio Rivera, Santiago Rivera, Alberto Rivera all of Puerto Rico, and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Fernando Rivera.

Mrs. Fortis was born in Carolina, Puerto Rico, the daughter of Antonio Rivera and Rosa E. (Osorio) Rivera. She lived in this area for the past 10 years. Mrs. Fortis was a member of the Adult Society of Christian Mission, and a member of the Church Christian Mission Hebrew's 11 by Faith, Pastors David and Loida Perry

The funeral will be Tuesday November 18, 2003 from Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. with services at 10:00 A.M. Burial will be in the Rural Cemetery, New Bedford, Ma. Calling hours are Monday November 17th from 7:00 - 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
