Rose Brito De Barros

New Bedford- Rose (Brito) De Barros of New Bedford died Monday November 24, 2003 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was the widow of Louis J. De Barros. She is survived by a son Jose D. Barros. of New Bedford, a son Bernardo D. Barros of Ft. Lauderdale FL, a daughter Avelena Teixeira of New Bedford, a daughter Alice B. Duarte, She was the mother of the Jose, Jack, and Joao De Barros . She is the Mother-in-Law of Jose S. Duarte, and the late Frank Teixeira. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren, and, a nephew.

Mrs. De Barros was born in Brava, Cape Verde Island she was the daughter of the late Jose J. and Louisa (Guilmete) De Brito. She was a home maker.

The Funeral Mass will take place Saturday November 29, 2003 at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 9 am. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, New Bedford, MA.
