John Martin

New Bedford - John Martin of South Dartmouth, died Monday November 24, 2003 at St. Luke's Hospital. He was the husband of Helen (Sylvia) Martin. He was the father of Brian Martin of New Bedford, Joyce Correia and Laverne Moniz both of Dartmouth. He is survived by a brother Manuel Martin of Wayland, MA, and a sister Olivia Tavares of Taunton,MA., 5 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. Mr Martin was also the brother of the late Ernest, Albert and Arthur Martin

Mr.Martin was born in New Bedford,MA. He was the son of the late Jose and Deolinda (Mendoza) Martin. He lived in this area all his life.

Mr. Martin‘s funeral will be Saturday November 29, 2003 from Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 7:45 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 A.M. at St. Mary's Church, Dartmouth St., S.Dartmouth, MA. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, New Bedford, MA. Calling hours are Friday November 28th from 2:00-4:00 P.M. and 7:00-9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
