Barbara (Braga) Rogers

Fall River - Barbara (Braga) Rogers, age 82 years, of Dartmouth, died Tuesday, September 7, 2010, at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Barbara was the beloved wife of the late Edward Rogers, mother of Brenda and her fiance Nicholas Savage of Mattapoisett, Steven E. Rogers and his fiancee Gina Castella of Dartmouth, Robert W. Rogers and his wife Kathleen of New Bedford and Edward “ Butch “ Rogers and his wife Mary Anne of No. Dartmouth. She was the grandmother of: Austin J. Edward Rogers, Kinsey Rogers, Jordin Rogers, Kendra Rogers, Jamie Pimental, Lacey Rogers, Troy Mogardo, Jim Morgardo, Steven E. Rogers Jr. and Tracey Morgardo. Mrs. Rogers is also survived by numerous great grandchildren and her brothers: August Braga of Fall River, Edward Braga of Imperial Beach, CA., Manuel Braga Jr. of Marion,IN., Alfred Braga of Dartmouth, Ruth Santos of New Bedford and Robert J. Braga of Westport as well as several nieces and nephews. Barbara was the sister of the late Mary L.B. Medeiros, Louis J. Braga, Elias Braga Helen Silva, Anna Braga , Beatrice Medeiros, Dorothy Ricardo and William Braga.

Mrs. Rogers was a daughter of the late Manuel and Annie (Freitas) Braga. Barbara was born in Dartmouth and lived there all of her life.

Mrs. Rogers' funeral, in accordance with her wishes, were private.
