Palmeda "Pal" (Gomes) Silva

New Bedford – Palmeda “Pal” (Gomes) Silva, age 90, died Sunday, September 26, 2010 at the New Bedford Jewish Convalescent Home. She was the wife of the late George Silva. Mrs. Silva was the mother of Sheila Cote, Ann Marie Gautreau and Robert Silva all of N. Dartmouth and George Silva Jr. of Bridgewater. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and a sister Annie (Gomes) Ignacio of Dartmouth.

Mrs. Silva was born in Dartmouth and lived in this area all of her life. She was a daughter of the late Manuel Gomes and Anna (Vieira) Gomes.

Private funeral services were held for Mrs. Silva at the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. on Thursday, with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Julie Billiart Church, Dartmouth, MA. Burial was at St. Mary’s Cemetery in New Bedford.
