Ronald Barboza

New Bedford - Ronald Barboza, 68, of S. Dartmouth, died Monday December 8, 2003 at New Bedford Rehabilitation Hospital. He was the husband of Janice F. (Cabral) Barboza. He is survived by his wife, 3 sons, Michael Barboza of Gloucester, MA., Scotty and Stacey Barboza of S. Dartmouth and Gary and June Barboza of S. Dartmouth, six grandchildren, a sister Sue Berard of Acushnet, and a nephew Peter Berard of Stoughton. Mr. Barboza was also the grandfather of the late Ryan Souza.

Mr. Barboza was born in New Bedford and lived in this area all of his life. He was the son of the late Manuel and JoAnne (Silva) Barboza. Mr. Barboza was a former member of the DYAA. He enjoyed playing soccer and had boxed in the Golden Gloves.

The funeral will be Friday from Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 8:45 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary's Church, Padanaram, located on Dartmouth St. in S. Dartmouth. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery, New Bedford, Ma. Visiting hours are Thursday December 11th from 6 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
