Amelia Antonia Almeida

New Bedford – Amelia Antonia Almeida, age 62, of New Bedford, MA passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2024 at St. Luke’s Hospital with her loving family by her side.  

Amelia was born in Sao Nicolau, Cape Verde to Julio Almeida and Antonia (Diniz) Vieira. She had worked for Child & Family Services for many years as a Senior Family Partner.

Amelia is survived her daughter, Shevon Almeida and her partner Manny Pina, her son, Alcidio "Sid" Correia and wife Crystal Correia and son, Jordan Ramalho; grandchildren, Tayvon, Messiah, Ava-Truly and Grayson. Also survived by her brother, Antonio "Tony" DaLuz, nephews, Jose Santos of Guatemala and Marlon DaLuz; nieces, Maria DeMonte Vieira of Rome, Marlene DaLuz and Bianca DaLuz; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Amelia’s visiting hours will be held at Perry Funeral Home on Sunday, January 14, 2024 from 1:00 P.M. – 4:00 P.M. Cremation to follow.
