Angel M. Alvarez

Angel Alvarez, age 66, of New Bedford, MA, passed away at his home with his loving family by his side on Sunday, August 31, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Betty Rivera, whom together they shared 30 years of marriage.

Born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Pedro Luis Alvarez and Emma (Romero) Cedeño. He had worked for CCG Construction over the years as a lineman.

Angel is survived by his wife, Betty Rivera; his daughter, Tracy Alvarez; his son, Carlos Rivera Alvarez; his step-daughters, whom he loved as his own, Denise Christine and Michelle; grandchildren and great grandchildren; as well as his aunts, Cecilia and Delfina and his Uncle Salvador.
