In Loving Memory of Antonia Eleftheroudi

Antonia Eleftheroudi, age 91, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2026, surrounded by her loving sister, nephews, and nieces after a brief illness.

Born on January 1, 1935, in Giannitsa, Greece, Antonia was the beloved daughter of the late Christos and Kyriaki Eleftheroudi. She spent her entire life in the town she cherished, surrounded by family, friends, and her deep-rooted faith.

A devoted Greek Orthodox Christian, Antonia's faith was the foundation of her life. She was known for her kindness, humility, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her family. She found great joy in caring for others and treasured the time she spent with her loved ones.

For more than twenty years, Antonia worked as a skilled seamstress in Thessaloniki (Salonika), Greece. She took great pride in her work, and her talent, dedication, and strong work ethic earned the respect of those who knew her. Following her retirement, she returned to Giannitsa, where she enjoyed a simple life centered on family, faith, and community.

Antonia is survived by her beloved sister, Maria ("Marika") Tsonis; her nephews, Chris Tsonis and his wife Kathy, and John Tsonis and his wife Georgia; as well as many cherished nieces and nephews in Greece and the United States. She also leaves behind three great-nephews and two great-nieces who brought her much joy. She was predeceased by her parents and several siblings.

In her final months, Antonia traveled to the United States to visit her sister Maria. During her stay, she received an unexpected diagnosis. At a time when her family faced immense uncertainty, Continuum Hospice Services of Fall River didn’t hesitate and provided extraordinary care, compassion, and support. Their dedicated team embraced Antonia and her family when no other local hospice organization was able to assist, offering comfort, dignity, and peace throughout her final journey.

The family is deeply grateful for the kindness and professionalism shown by Continuum Hospice Services and will forever cherish the care they provided.
