Antonio C. Pereira

Antonio C. Pereira, age 92, of New Bedford, MA, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at St. Luke’s Hospital, surrounded by the love of his family. He was the beloved husband of Idalina M. (Silva) Pereira.

Born on September 20, 1933, Antonio was the beloved son of the late Jose Da Silva Pereira and Aurea Soares Carvalho. Throughout his life, Antonio made a significant impact in his community, working as an announcer for a local radio station, where his voice and passion touched many listeners. Antonio will be remembered for his contributions to his community, his deep love for his family, and the legacy of kindness he leaves behind.

Antonio is survived by his devoted wife, Idalina M. Pereira; his son, Anthony Pereira; and five brothers and sisters residing in Portugal. His family will cherish the memories of the joyful moments shared with him, which conveys the love and warmth he brought into their lives.

Antonio’s visiting hours will be held at Perry Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 22, 2025, from 5:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. His funeral service will take place on Wednesday, beginning in the funeral home at 9:00 A.M., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:00 A.M. Following the Mass, burial will immediately proceed at Pine Grove Cemetery.
