Arthur Pimental

New Bedford - Arthur Pimental, age 82, of New Bedford, MA, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at St. Luke's Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. His departure marks the end of a life filled with cherished moments and unwavering devotion to his family.

Born on September 15, 1942, in New Bedford, MA, Arthur was the beloved son of the late Ernest Pimental and Maria Pimental (Costa). Throughout his life, he embodied the values instilled in him by his parents, showcasing kindness, strength, and a deep sense of community.

Arthur is survived by his son, Arthur Pimental, and his wife, Lisa Pimental; daughter, Jannie Medeiros, and her husband, Dennis Medeiros. His legacy is further carried on by his grandsons, Dennis Medeiros Jr. and his wife Alyssa Medeiros, and Michael Medeiros and his wife Taylor Medeiros; as well as his granddaughters, McKenna Pimental and Olivia Pimental. Each of them holds treasured memories of Arthur that will remain alive in their hearts.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Jane Ann (Machado) Pimental; and his siblings, Natalie Sylvia and Dorothy Mello, who now join him in peace.

A memorial service for Arthur is planned for a later date, and arrangements are entrusted to Perry Funeral Home, located at 111 Dartmouth Street, New Bedford.
