Betsy Louise (Bent) Meca, age 86, of New Bedford, Massachusetts, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2026 at The Oaks with her loving family by her side.
Born on July 22, 1939, in New Bedford, MA, Betsy was the beloved daughter of the late Fredrick Bent and Emelda (Guertin) Bent. She had worked as an LPN for the Department of Corrections in Plymouth, MA for many years.
Betsy is survived by her daughter, Paula Grenier and her husband Roland Grenier Jr., her son, Andrew Tuttle; as well as 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was also the mother of the late Jackie Lee Tuttle Jr and Matthew Deane Tuttle and sister of late John Bent.
