Eduarda Alicea Cruz

Eduarda Alicea Cruz, age 94, of New Bedford and New York, passed away in New York on Saturday, November 16, 2025. Born on December 5, 1931, in Comerío, Puerto Rico, she was the beloved daughter of the late Jose Maria Alicea and Escolastica Cruz. Eduarda dedicated much of her life to nourishing others, having worked in the school department in her hometown of Puerto Rico as a cook.

She is survived by her loving children, Raul Vazquez, Maria O. Villega, and Olga M. Villega, whose lives she enriched with her warmth and wisdom. Eduarda's legacy continues through her grandchildren, Luis Rosado, Maria Gonzales, Dary Isabel Rodriguez, Melvin Figueroa, and Raul Rivera, each of whom carry a piece of her spirit within them. She will be remembered fondly by all who knew her, for her kindness, strength, and the loving care she provided throughout her lifetime.

In accordance with Eduarda's family wishes, her visiting hours and funeral services are private.
