Edward Souza Jr.

Edward Souza Jr, passed away on Friday August 14, 2026 peacefully at home with his caring and devoted family by his side. He was the loving husband of Linda (MacDonald) Souza, they recently celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary on July 24th.

He was an area manager for the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. for over 20 years and was a lifetime member of the Portuguese American Social Club of South Dartmouth. His happiest moments were spent with his large family. He was a seasonal camper of Maple Park in Wareham, MA enjoying many summers with his family.

Edward is survived by his wife Linda Souza; 4 children, Kevin Souza, Shelly Taffe and her husband Joe Albuquerque, Shawn and Heidi L. Souza; 7 grandchildren, Kristina Souza, Kevin Souza Jr., Gentry Grace and wife Marriah, Torin Grace, Ryan Taffe, Kendyn Nigel Grace and Aiden Taffe; 4 great-grandchildren, Khloe, Arianna, Claire, Sophia and a great-grandson, Laithe.

Thank you to the staff at Hospice Community Nursing, especially Maria Andrade and all of the supportive friends and neighbors of Dana Street.

Private arrangements are by Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth Street, New Bedford, Massachusetts, which offers convenient facilities, including a lighted parking lot and wheelchair accessibility for attendees.
