Elenora (Alves) Almeida

Elenora (Alves) Almeida, age 92, of Dartmouth, MA, passed away on Monday, November 10, 2025, at St. Luke’s Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted wife of the late Manuel Almeida, with whom she shared many cherished moments throughout their lives together.

Born on November 29, 1932, in New Bedford, MA, Elenora was the beloved daughter of the late Joao Alves and Maria (Rocha) Alves. A loving homemaker, she dedicated her life to her family, creating a warm and nurturing environment for her children and grandchildren.

Elenora is survived by her four children: Nancy Edmond of Oregon, Natalie Roderick of Dartmouth, Robert Almeida of Dartmouth, and Donna Almeida of Dartmouth. She was a proud grandmother to seven grandchildren and delighted in the company of many great-grandchildren, who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

She was predeceased by her son, Richard Almeida, whose absence left a deep void in the family that Elenora filled with her unwavering love and support.

Elenora will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her, remembered not only for her loving nature but also for her kindness, strength, and the joy she brought into each of their lives.

The family wishes to honor Elenora’s life privately, and funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Perry Funeral Home, located at 111 Dartmouth St, New Bedford, MA.
