Fernando M. Peixoto, age 65, of Dartmouth, MA passed away peacefully on Monday, December 22, 2025, at his home, surrounded by the love of his family. He was the cherished husband of Fatima Peixoto,with whom he shared an extraordinary love and a deeply cherished life together for 41 beautiful years.
Born on September 14, 1960, Fernando was the beloved son of the late Maria Ascencao Peixoto and Antonio Peixoto. He devoted many years to his role as a Manager at Delken Cleaners, where his dedication and unwavering work ethic touched colleagues and customers alike. He was a devoted sports fan, cheering passionately for Sporting, his beloved Portuguese soccer team, as well as all the New England teams that brought him so much excitement. He also loved traveling with his family, cherishing every moment they shared together. Above all, it was Fernando’s warmth, generosity, and kind heart that left a lasting imprint on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Fernando leaves behind his devoted wife, Fatima, who was the heart of his world, as well as his cherished daughters, Jessica Peixoto and her partner Cristina Brum, and Cristal Marsh and her husband Brian. He was a deeply proud grandfather to his grandsons, Henry and Benjamin Marsh, whose laughter and presence filled his days with immeasurable joy.
In addition to his immediate family, Fernando is survived by his siblings: Angelo Melo and his wife Helena, Mariazinha Costa and her late husband Jose, Hildeberta Amaral and her late husband Emanuel, Manuel de Melo, Iria Costa and her husband Joao, and Amelia Sousa and her husband Antonio. He also holds a special place in the hearts of several nieces and nephews, who will fondly remember him.
Visiting hours for Fernando will be held at Perry Funeral Home on Sunday, December 28, 2025, from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. His funeral service will commence on Monday, beginning at the funeral home at 9:00 A.M., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church in Dartmouth at 10:00 A.M. Following the mass, burial will take place immediately at St. John's Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Perry Funeral Home, located at 111 Dartmouth St, New Bedford, MA, which offers a lighted parking lot and a handicap-accessible ramp and entrance for all who wish to pay their respects.
