Filomena Maria Ferreira

New Bedford – Filomena Maria Ferreira, age 70, of New Bedford, MA, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2025 at St. Luke’s Hospital.

Born in Ponta Delgada, Sao Miguel, Azores, she was the beloved daughter of the late Maria Cesaltina Ferreira. She leaves behind cousins in Montreal and many friends.

She will be missed dearly by her Family of Support Staff at Better Community Living.

Filomena’s visiting hours and funeral service will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025 Visiting hours will be held from 8:30 – 9:30 A.M. and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in South Dartmouth Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Perry Funeral Home, located at 111 Dartmouth Street, New Bedford.
