Irene D. Cardinal

New Bedford – Irene D. (Hebert) Cardinal, age 75, of New Bedford, MA passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025 at St. Luke’s Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Leo Roger Cardinal.

She was born in New Bedford and was the beloved daughter of the late Noel Charles Hebert and Medora (LaFrance) Hebert. She had worked as a secretary in the shipping department for Blind Manufacturing Company.

Irene is survived by her son, Brandon Cardinal and his wife Jeannine of New Hampshire; 4 grandchildren, Jarren, Tori, Lily and Ashlyn; brothers, Raymond Hebert and his wife Sandy, Adrian Hebert and his wife Abbey and Paul Hebert; her sisters, Yvette Mayne, Suzanne Andrews, Vivian Baker, Simmone Sansoucy and her husband Roger, Diane Bressett and her husband John and Therese Hebert; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Irene’s funeral services were private.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth Street, New Bedford.
