New Bedford – Irene (Medeiros) Ferreira, age 90, of New Bedford passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at The Oaks. She was the beloved wife of the late Manuel Ferreira who passed away in June of 2022.

 

Irene was born in New Bedford, MA to the late Manuel Medeiros and Mary J. (Oliveira) Medeiros.  She had worked as a seamstress for many years. She liked to go to the casino on occasions and watch live performances also loved to cook.

 

She is survived by her sons, Daniel and David Ferreira as well as several cousins.

                                                                                                                              
Irene’s visiting hours and funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at Perry Funeral Home. Visiting hours will be held from 11:00 A.M. - 12.00 P.M. with a service at Noon. Burial will take place immediately following at Rural Cemetery.
