Jacques “Jack” N’Guia, age 60, of New Bedford, Massachusetts, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospital surrounded by the love of his family. He was the cherished husband of Tracy A. (Audette) N’Guia.
Jack was born on January 31, 1966, in Abidjan, West Africa and was the beloved son of Firmin N’Guia and Roseline Poly. He had worked many years in the custodial department for the City of New Bedford.
Jack was known to all as a soft and gentle soul, a man who moved through the world with a smile on his face and a warm laugh never too far away. A natural protector of those he loved, he found his greatest joy in the simple, quiet moments: his morning coffee and the newspaper, and the time he cherished with his wife and family.
A standout three-sport athlete at New Bedford High School, Jack excelled in football, basketball, and track. His passion for the game followed him throughout his life, as he remained a devoted and lifelong fan of the Houston Oilers (later the Tennessee Titans) and the Los Angeles Lakers.
Jack is survived by his beloved wife, Tracy N’Guia; his mother, Roseline Poly; and his three sons, Joshua N’Guia, Zachary N’Guia, and Chad N’Guia; and his grandson, Benson N’Guia. He is now reunited with his infant son, Nikolas N’Guia, who predeceased him.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Perry Funeral Home, located at 111 Dartmouth Street, New Bedford, Massachusetts.
