Jason P. Taylor

October 2, 1974 — April 15, 2024

Jason P. Taylor, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2024 after a long illness. He was the loving son of Francine Taylor and the late Paul Taylor.

He is survived by his loving mother, Francine Taylor; his loving brothers, Stephen Taylor and Eric Taylor and his wife Kelly; his dear nephews, Drew Taylor and Jacob Ellison and his dear niece, Ali Ellison.

Jason and his alter ego “Diana Prince”, was a person with an outsized personality and sweet soul. He loved strongly and was loved by all of his family and friends. Jason began entertaining in the late 90s by singing at area clubs, which eventually evolved into the art of drag. Jason's powerful voice and quick-witted humor and Diana's flawless lip sync talent, Diana began to win many local contests. Being a 70s/80s pop-culture enthusiast, Jason chose the name of his idol, Diana Prince aka Wonder Woman as her drag name & moniker.

His greatest joy was performing on stage and raising money for the numerous charities that he was involved in. Diana worked tirelessly to help fundraise tens of thousands of dollars for multiple AIDS Benefits and brought awareness to local Pride Events & Community Education Programs. Diana became a community icon in the Southcoast MA & RI areas that reached legendary status. Some of the Titles Diana has held were, Miss Puzzles 2000, Miss Gay South Shore, and the Jewel of her crown was being elected Empress XVI of The Imperial Court of Rhode Island at Providence, just one of the 72 chapters of the oldest LGBTQIA fundraising organization in the world, founded in 1965. Diana would later serve again as Regent Empress XX, making Diana's fan base global.

After retiring from her nightclub appearances Diana continued her career online and kept her fanbase laughing. Her love of female wrestling and support of the cast members earned her the Title of "The First ‘official’ honorary GLOW- GIRL!

Jason was one of a kind and will never be forgotten. His entire family here and from Canada will never forget Jason. He will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him. May he Rest in Peace.
