Joann E. Costa

Joann E. (Cardoza) Costa, age 82, of Dartmouth, Massachusetts, passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2025, at St. Luke’s Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 15, 1943, in New Bedford, she was the daughter of Joseph A. Cardoza and Mary (Borges) Cardoza and beloved wife of the late Joseph P. Costa.

Joann graduated from Dartmouth High School and dedicated over 30 years to her career as an Assistant Manager at Building 19, where she was known for her warm demeanor and strong work ethic. Her colleagues and friends will remember her fondly for her invaluable contributions and the kindness she extended to those around her.

She is survived by her sons, Kevin Vieira and Brian Costa. 

In accordance with her wishes, services for Joann were held privately. 

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Perry Funeral Home, located at 111 Dartmouth Street, New Bedford.
