John George Zarella

John George Zarella, age 37, of Kingston, MA, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Born on August 1, 1988, in Stoughton, MA, John was the beloved son of the late John P. Zarella and Barbara (Colburne) Smith.

He is survived by his cherished sisters, Barbara Zarella and Helen Zarella, his brother-in-law, Jared Correiro, his son, Michael Zarella, his world, and his beloved nieces and nephews.

John’s memory will be forever cherished by those who knew and loved him, and his presence will be missed dearly, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

Visiting hours and funeral services will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025. Visiting hours will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with a service to take place at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow immediately in Rural Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Perry Funeral Home, located at 111 Dartmouth Street, New Bedford.
