Jose David Botelho

New Bedford – Jose David Botelho, age 83, of New Bedford, MA, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2024 at St. Luke’s Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of the late Ilda Maria (Pacheco) Botelho, who passed away in July of 2024. 

Jose was born in Furnas Sao Migael, Azores and was the son of the late Joao Raposo Botelho and Maria (dos Santos) Botelho. He had worked at American Dryer as a Fork Lift Operator.

He is survived by his son, John M. Botelho; grandson, Cavan Botelho; his siblings,Deodate Tavares and his wife Ester, Fatima Amaral and her husband Joao, Carlos Botelho and his wife Arlete  and Edie Nunes and her husband Manny, sister in law Evangelina Botelho as well as several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Joao Manuel Botelho and Teresa (Botelho) Tavares. 

A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday December 3 at Mt Carmel Church 10:00 A.M. Everyone is asked to meet directly at Church.Burial will take place at a later date. Funeral arrangements are Private and are entrusted to Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth Street, New Bedford.
