Jose Carlos Vieira

Jose Carlos Vieira, age 71, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Maria de Jesus (Tavares) Vieira.

Born on February 5, 1955, Jose was the cherished son of the late Duarte Vieira and Sofia (Baptista) Vieira. His industrious spirit found expression over many years as a dedicated machine operator for AFC Cable Manufacturing, where he was well-respected by his colleagues.

Jose is survived by his son, David Vieira, and his wife, Cathy; his daughter, Suzy Vieira, and her companion, Peter Magalhaes; as well as his beloved grandchildren, Liliana Vieira and Julie Vieira, who brought immense joy to his life. He is also survived by his sister, Maria Dos Anjos Vieira; as well as his nieces, Lizette Crispim and Judy Pedro Ferreira and nephew, Peter Matos.

Jose was predeceased by his sister the late Maria Gabriella Pedro, who will be remembered alongside him in spirit.

Jose will be remembered for his kindness, dedication, and the love he shared with his family and friends.

Visitation for Jose will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Perry Funeral Home from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. His funeral will take place on Thursday morning, beginning at the funeral home at 9:00 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:00 AM. Burial will immediately follow in Rural Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Perry Funeral Home, which provides a lighted parking lot and a handicap-accessible ramp and entrance for all who wish to pay their respects.
