Julieta Rego

Julieta Rego, age 82, of New Bedford, MA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at Vantage Health & Rehab of New Bedford, surrounded by the love of her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Horacio Rego, with whom she shared many happy years.

Born on July 8, 1943, Julieta was the cherished daughter of the late Jose Rego and Silvania (Amaral) Rego. Throughout her life, she embodied the spirit of a loving homemaker, dedicating herself wholeheartedly to her family. Her warmth and nurturing nature created a loving home that will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

Julieta is survived by her children, Emanuel Rego of New Bedford, Paul Rego of Fairhaven, and Judy Ann Rego of New Bedford. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, who will surely carry her memory forward in their hearts. She was predeceased by her siblings: Joe Rego, Luiza Carreira, and Carlos Rego, who rest in eternal peace alongside her. 

Julieta's legacy of love and devotion will forever be cherished by her family and friends.

Visiting hours for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Perry Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday morning, beginning in the funeral home at 9:00 A.M., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in St. John’s Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Perry Funeral Home, located at 111 Dartmouth St, New Bedford, MA, which offers a lighted parking lot and a handicap-accessible ramp and entrance for all who wish to pay their respects.
