Kathleen Ann O'Connell

Kathleen Ann O’Connell, a resident of Dartmouth, Massachusetts, passed away on Friday, June 13, 2025, at St. Luke’s Hospital, surrounded by her mother and daughter.

Kathleen was born on Valentine's Day in 1964 and was raised in Granby, Massachusetts. She was cherished by her parents, the late Robert O’Connell and Joyce (Behilo) O’Connell. Kathleen graduated from Stonehill College with a degree in Criminal Justice and served as a case manager at the law firm Hamel, Waxler, Allen & Collins for twenty years.

Kathleen had a passion for fashion and received the title of “best dressed” during her high school years. She maintained close relationships with her best friends from school. She loved spending time at the beach and traveling, with memorable trips to places like France, Hawaii, and Jamaica. Kathleen had a radiant smile that brightened every room she entered. Her family meant the world to her, and she cherished her final days showering love on her grandchildren.

Kathleen is survived by her daughter, Cassandra Gasbarro and her husband Alessandro of Norton; her mother, Joyce O’Connell of Dartmouth; her brother, Kevin O’Connell and his wife Rhonda of Fleming Island, Florida; her brother, Robert O’Connell and his wife Diane of South Hadley; her grandchildren, Haylie, Alessandro and William Gasbarro along with many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brother, Brian O’Connell, and his wife Joanne of Chicopee.

A private family service will be held, followed by a memorial service at a later date.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Perry Funeral Home, located at 111 Dartmouth Street, New Bedford.
