In Remembrance of You

Keith Alan Roberts

June 22, 1959 – July 4, 2026

Keith Alan Roberts, 67, of New Bedford, MA, passed away unexpectedly on July 4, 2026, following a long and courageous recovery from heart surgery. Born June 22, 1959, in Boston, MA, Keith brought strength, humor, and love into the lives of those who knew him. His presence was steady and memorable, and his passing leaves a deep ache in the hearts of his family and friends.

Keith was the 4th oldest of 10 children, with Yvette Roberts and Lyle Roberts preceding him in death. He was the beloved son of Charles, Sr. and Judith Roberts, who also preceded him in death. Keith spent most of his life on the South Shore, growing up in Duxbury, MA, later moving to Plymouth, and finally making his home in New Bedford, MA. He attended Duxbury schools from elementary through high school and graduated from Duxbury High School in 1977, where he earned accolades in football, basketball, and track and field. He went on to enlist in the U.S. Army through the “Buddy” program with his closest friend from Duxbury, Richard “Ricky” Amado. From there, Keith’s journey led him down a different but meaningful path as he built his own asphalt business, lovingly named “K & M Asphalt” after his two sons, Keith Jr. and Marcus Roberts, who preceded him in death. Keith, Sr. worked hard, gave generously, and took pride in creating opportunities for his family and those around him. He supported his local community in many ways, especially by keeping his sons active in local sports and travel clubs, including karate, basketball and football. He also organized an annual event that became known as the “K & M Pig Roast” in Plymouth. More than a gathering, it was Keith’s way of giving thanks to his employees, close friends, and family members who were always there to lend a helping hand. Those who attended still remember the laughter, food, fellowship, and joy of those days together.

Keith Alan Roberts leaves to cherish his memory his son, Keith Roberts Jr.; daughter-in-law, Noemí Collazo; grandsons, Keith Roberts III, Keon Roberts, and Damarius Roberts, all of New Bedford, MA; his father, Charles Roberts, Sr. of Duxbury, MA; brother, Charles Roberts, Jr., and sister-in-law, Deborah Roberts of Stoughton, MA; sister, Karen Roberts of Mattapan, MA; brother, Dale Roberts of Brockton, MA; sister, Tanya Roberts Daniels of Duxbury, MA; sister, Lynn Roberts of Plymouth, MA; brother, Shawn Roberts, and sister-in-law, Denise Roberts of Brockton, MA; sister, Anissa Roberts of Boston, MA; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends. Each of them carries a part of Keith’s story, his love, and the memories he helped create.

Keith will be missed more than words can express. His love, laughter, hard work, and generous spirit will remain with all who knew him, and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him dearly.
