Lance A. Petitpas

Lance A. Petitpas, age 55, of New Bedford, Massachusetts, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at his home.

Lance was born on August 16, 1970, in New Bedford, MA and was the beloved son of Elaine Hilda (Cordeiro) Petitpas and the late Robert Charles Petitpas. He had served in both the United States Marines and the United States Navy. He also had worked as a fabricator for ABC Disposal for many years.

Lance is survived by his son Lawrence Petitpas and Daughter Clova Fitzhugh and he was the grandfather to Hallie and Liam Fitzhugh.

He was the brother of Robert Petitpas Jr, Tara Gebo, Christie Petitpas, Lori Petitpas, Brian Petitpas, Erik Petitpas,and Justin Petitpas and many nieces and nephews.

He was happiest taking long rides on his Harley Davidson with his son and friends. He also enjoyed working on cars with his son.
