Luis Jimenez Martinez, age 50, of New Bedford, MA died peacefully surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with Cancer at St. Luke’s Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

He was Born on September 19, 1975, in Acapulco, Mexico, Luis was the devoted son of Bartolo Jimenez and Mariana Martinez.

A longtime and skilled professional at Colony Drywall, he took great pride in his craft. Beyond the job site, he was a true outdoorsman at heart. He loved the energy of playing soccer, the endurance of running, and the freedom of riding his bicycle.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Altagracia Blanco; 3 daughters Cinthya, Tiffany and Kimberly Jimenez their husbands Tylor Santos, Wilfredo Rodriguez, 3 grandchildren Miyah, Messiah, and Kehlani. 6 brothers and 1 sister and his nieces and nephews.

The family will honor Luis’s memory during visiting hours on Friday evening, June 26, 2026, at Perry Funeral Home from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. His funeral service will be held on Saturday morning, beginning in the funeral home at 9:00AM and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish at St. James Church at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow immediately at Rural Cemetery.

Perry Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements and provides respectful accommodations designed to ensure comfort and accessibility to all attendees, including a lighted parking lot and handicap-accessible ramp and entrance.


Luis Jimenez Martinez, de 50 años, de New Bedford, Massachusetts, falleció en paz rodeado del amor de su familia después de una valiente batalla contra el cáncer en el Hospital St. Luke’s.

Nació el 19 de septiembre de 1975 en Acapulco, México. Luis fue el amado hijo de Bartolo Jimenez y Mariana Martinez.

Durante muchos años trabajó como un profesional dedicado y altamente capacitado en Colony Drywall, donde se sentía orgulloso de su trabajo y oficio. Más allá de su profesión, Luis era un verdadero amante de las actividades al aire libre. Disfrutaba de la energía del fútbol, la resistencia de correr y la libertad de andar en bicicleta.

Le sobreviven su querida esposa, Altagracia Blanco; sus tres hijas, Cinthya, Tiffany y Kimberly Jimenez; sus yernos, Tylor Santos y Wilfredo Rodriguez; sus tres nietos, Miyah, Messiah y Kehlani; seis hermanos y una hermana, además de sus sobrinos y sobrinas.

La familia honrará la memoria de Luis durante las horas de visita el viernes por la noche, 26 de junio de 2026, en Perry Funeral Home, de 5:00 p. m. a 8:00 p. m.

El servicio fúnebre se llevará a cabo el sábado por la mañana, comenzando en la funeraria a las 9:00 a. m., seguido por una Misa Cristiana de Sepultura en la Parroquia Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe en la Iglesia St. James a las 10:00 a. m.

El sepelio se realizará inmediatamente después en Rural Cemetery.
