Manuel Sousa

New Bedford – Manuel Sousa, age 49, of New Bedford, MA passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024. Born in New Bedford, MA, he was the beloved son of Maria (De Melo) Sousa and the late Manuel F. Sousa. 

Manuel was loved and adored by his family. He had always been a very strong person, a trait for which he was greatly admired for, no matter what obstacles he faced throughout his lifetime. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.

Manuel is survived by his loving mother, Maria Sousa; his loving sisters, Diane Figueroa and her husband Joel, Sandra Adao and the late Luis Adao and Sheila Pires and her husband Helmut; as well as his loving aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Manuel’s visiting hours and funeral services will be will be held on Monday, February 26, 2024 at Perry Funeral Home. Visiting hours will take place from 10:30 A.M. – 12:30 P.M. with a service to take place at 12:30 P.M. Burila will immediately follow in Rural Cemetery.
