Margaret "Peggy" A. (Paiva) Ribeiro

Fairhaven – Margaret A. “Peggy” (Paiva) Ribeiro, age 83, of Dartmouth, MA, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025, at Alden Court Nursing Home. She was the cherished wife of the late Jose B. Ribeiro.

Born on August 31, 1941, in New Bedford, MA, Peggy was the daughter of the late Manuel and Irene Paiva. Throughout her life, she dedicated many years to her role as a Quality Control Manager at States Nightwear Clothing, where her professionalism and work ethic were held in high regard.

Peggy had a profound love for life, which was evident in her joys and passions. She treasured the time spent with her husband watching sports and taking long rides together, creating countless memories that reflected their deep bond. Additionally, she found great joy in gardening, nurturing her plants with the same love and care she showed to her family. Peggy's devotion to her family was evident and unwavering, particularly in her time with her great-grandchildren, Ajay and Aidyn, who brought immense joy to her life.

Peggy is survived by her daughter, MaryAnne Rogers and her husband Edward; her grandson, Austin Rogers and his wife Aly; step-granddaughter, Jamie Ferreira and her husband Shawn; her great-grandchildren, Ajay and Aidyn; and step-grandchildren, Aubrey, Elias, and Luka. She is also survived by her nephew, Bryant Ribeiro and his wife Alice; a great-niece, whom she loved like a granddaughter, Ariana; as well as 12 godchildren and several nieces and nephews, each of whom she cherished deeply.

Peggy will be remembered for her loving spirit, kindness, and the profound impact she had on those around her. Her memory will forever be cherished by her family and friends.

A Funeral Mass for Margaret will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at St. Mary’s Church of Dartmouth at 10:00 A.M. All attendees are kindly asked to meet directly at the church. Following the service, cremation will take place.
