Maria (Pereira) Pacheco

Maria (Pereira) Pacheco, age 73, passed away on August 29, 2026 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Jose Pacheco.

Born on June 29, 1953, Maria was the cherished daughter of the Guilherme Correia Pereira and Evangelina (Botelho) Pereira. Maria had been a stitcher at Cliftex for many years.

She is survived by her husband, Jose Pacheco; her son, Brian Pacheco; her siblings, Joe Pereira and his wife Vicky and Paul Pereira and his wife Darlene; as well as her sister-in-law, Natalia Correia and her husband Jose, brother-in-law, Lucas Pacheco and his wife Fatima; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also predeceased by her godson, Joey Pereira.

Maria’s visiting hours and funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at Perry Funeral Home. Visiting hours will take place from 9:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M. with a service to begin at 11:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in Rural Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth Street, New Bedford, Massachusetts, which offers convenient facilities, including a lighted parking lot and wheelchair accessibility for attendees.
