Maria Lucia Ricardo

New Bedford- Maria Lucia (Rodrigues) Ricardo passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at St. Luke's Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Antonio Garcia Ricardo.

Maria was born in Pico, Azores, Portugal, to the late Francisco Rodrigues Caetano and Maria da Gloria (Furtado) Rodrigues. She worked at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in the Kitchen and was also a Communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.  She loved to spend time with her family.

Maria is survived by her husband, Antonio; daughter, Ana Figueiredo and her husband Joseph; grandchildren, Emily and Michael Figueiredo; as well as a sister, Madelina Rodrigues.

Maria's visiting hours will be held on Monday, May 13, 2024 at Perry Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. Her funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 beginning in the funeral home at 9:00 A.M. and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:00 A.M.  Burial will immediately follow at Rural Cemetery.
