Maria F. Rodrigues

New Bedford – Maria F. (Maia) Rodrigues, of Dartmouth, MA passed away on Friday, March 1, 2024 at the age of 90. She was born in Sao Miguel, Azores to the late Mariano Maia and the late Margarida (daLuz) Maia. She was also the wife of the late Roque Rodrigues. 

She had worked as a stitcher for many years until her retirement. She also became a Vavo to many she cared for. She had lived in Solemar, where she made a lot of friends over the years.

Maria is survived by her children, Tony Rodrigues and his wife Ana Rodrigues, Louie Rodrigues, Urania Nogueira and her husband Kevin, Patricia Baliko and her husband Anthony; her grandchildren, Christine Rodrigues, Stephanie Rodrigues, Rachel Sanchez, Kelly Nogueira, Tiffany D’Antonio, Ashley Rodrigues, Derek Baliko and Destiny Rodrigues; her sister-in-law, Fatima Maia; as well as 10 great-grandchildren whom she loved very much. 

She was also the grandmother of the late Shawn Rodrigues and sister of the late Joao Maia. 

Maria’s visiting hours and funeral services will be will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at Perry Funeral Home. Visiting hours will take place from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. with a service to take place at 12:00 P.M. Burial will immediately follow in St. John’s Cemetery.
