Mary Anne Martin 80, passed away on August 3rd surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, creativity and unconditional love. She was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Elsie (Vera) Taber.
She is survived by her devoted husband Kenneth, her daughter Melissa, her son Kenneth and his wife Carolyn, her sisters, Eileen and Patricia, Patricia’s husband Stewart. She also leaves her grandchildren Matthew, Kayci, Jack and Ryan and her great grandchild Braxton as well as nieces Alyson and Kristen, nephew Marshall and great nieces Ellsea, Bailey and great nephews Tucker and Henri.
Mary Anne was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Her family was the center of her world, and she treasured every moment spent with them. Whether celebrating holidays, cheering on her grandchildren, or simply enjoying time together, she created memories that will be cherished forever.
Mary Anne attended St. Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing before beginning a career as an emergency room nurse at St. Luke’s Hospital. She went on to dedicate nearly 30 years of her life to nursing where she was known for her professionalism and compassion. Outside of her career, she had a passion for fashion and always carried herself with grace and style. She also found great joy in crafting, creating beautiful quilts and scrapbook pages that her family will always cherish.
Mary Anne will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to those she loved. She leaves behind a family who will forever cherish her wisdom, laughter and the many memories they had together. May she rest in eternal peace.
Mary Anne’s Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at St. Joseph’s Church of Fairhaven at 11:30 AM. All attendees are kindly asked to meet directly at the church.
