Nancy Tavares

Nancy (Belanger) Tavares passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 19th. Born in New Bedford, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of Albany “Benny” Belanger and Elsie Greenwood Belanger and the beloved wife of the late Manuel Tavares.

Nancy is survived by her children, Michael Tavares, Matthew Tavares, and Lori Tavares; and her cherished grandchildren, Avery, Taenler, Katherine, Alyssandra, Erin, Jacob, Breelyn, and Justin Tavares.

Nancy was known for her kindness, generosity, and devotion to her family. She loved fishing with her sons sports and fondly remembered horseback riding in her younger years. A dedicated supporter of youth sports, she volunteered with DYAA baseball and rarely missed a game, always cheering on her children and grandchildren with pride. She also treasured the companionship of her beloved dog, Mickey.

Nancy’s loving spirit and caring heart will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
