Otilia M. (Pacheco) Martins, age 94, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Leonardo Martins.

Born on September 29, 1931, in Achadinha, Sao Miguel, Azores, Otilia was the cherished daughter of the late Manuel Ponte Pacheco and Maria de Estrela (Moniz) Pacheco. Otilia carried the spirit of her heritage with her throughout her life, embodying the warmth and hospitality that is often associated with her roots.

A dedicated and hardworking woman, Otilia made significant contributions through her work as a stitcher for local manufacturers, including Cliftex Corp and Cape Cod Sportswear. Her skill and diligence earned her respect and admiration from her peers, and her work ethic served as a testament to her character.

Otilia is survived by her three children: Luis Martins and his wife Mary, Serafina Nogueira and her husband Manuel, and Anabela Valentim. Her family was a source of great joy for her, and she took immense pride in her eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren, who were fortunate to be enveloped in her love and wisdom.

She is also survived by her siblings, Liduina Furtado and Manuel Ponte, along with several nieces and nephews, each of whom cherished their relationship with Otilia, reflecting the strong family bonds she nurtured throughout her life.

As we remember Otilia, we honor her legacy of love, resilience, and kindness that she imparted to all who had the privilege to know her. She leaves behind a rich tapestry of memories that will forever be cherished by her family and friends.

Otilia’s life will be remembered and celebrated during visiting hours and funeral services held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at Perry Funeral Home. Visiting hours will take place from 10:00 A.M. -12:00 P.M., with a service to be held during this time. Following the service, burial will take place in St. John’s Cemetery.
