Patricia A. Amaral

New Bedford - Patricia (Lacey) Amaral, age 73, of Wareham, MA passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at St. Luke’s Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank R. Amaral.

Patricia was born in Boston, MA and was the daughter of the late Francis Miles Lacey and Margaret (Landy) Lacey. Patricia was a life-long resident of Dartmouth, her final journey home was in Wareham, MA.

Patricia was a Business Owner, land lord and a servant to her community to include being a long-standing member of VFW 9059 where she was an original member of the chapter. In 1992, she served the veterans proudly as President, Senior Vice President, flag bearer and attended all memorial services for fallen members.

She is survived by daughters, Michelle and her husband George and Teresa and Patricia; her 4 grandchildren, Avery Tavares and his wife Katie, Zachary, Travis, Vincent Gervasi and Theresa Gervasi.  As well as her siblings, Francis, Donna, James, Margaret and Karen and multiple nieces, nephews and cousins.  Her deceased siblings are Thomas, Robert and William.

Patricia’s visiting hours will be held on Monday, May 6, 2024 from 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home. Her funeral will take place Tuesday morning, beginning in the funeral home at 8:00 A.M. and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 A.M. at St. Margaret of Scotland Church located at 141 Main St, Buzzards Bay, MA 02532. Burial will immediately follow in Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
