Paul S. Duarte

New Bedford, MA – Paul S. Duarte, age 54, of New Bedford, MA passed away at St. Luke’s Hospital with his loving family by his side on Saturday, June 8, 2024.  

Paul was born in Sao Miguel, Azores and was the beloved son of the late Humberto Duarte and Mariana (Carvalho) Duarte. He had worked as a carpenter for DDC Construction over the years.

Paul is survived by his sons, Zachary Duarte, Trenton Rui Duarte and his mom Glenda Sylvia and her son, Grayson Good; his grandson, Maddyn Duarte; his siblings, Mario J. Duarte and wife Susana of New Bedford, Laudalino Duarte and wife Lidia of Dartmouth,  Donna DaCosta and husband David of East Freetown, Grace Duarte, Elizabeth Duarte and companion Phil, all of New Bedford; several nieces and nephews.

He was also predeceased by his late son, Paul V. Duarte and his late brother Rui Duarte.

Paul’s visiting hours and funeral services will be held on Friday, June 14, 2024. Visiting hours will take place at Perry Funeral Home from 8:00 A.M. – 9:30 A.M. and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church Dartmouth at 10:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in Rural Cemetery.
